In today’s world, we constantly experience change – in our work, our lives and our relationships. In business and organizations, the change process requires time and attention to the human issues if it is to be successful. However much can be learned, if we consider change from the personal type perspective – i.e., how we experience and adapt to change and its cousins, our individual loss and grief processes. This course will consider change through the type lens, acknowledging the work of others e.g., William Bridges' work on Transitions, Nancy Barger's and Linda Kirby’s work on Organizational Change and Lewis Tagliaferre's and Gary Harbaugh’s work on Loss and Grief. Participants will have the opportunity to explore their own process and look at how type can assist in supporting our own needs and others through a major change process.

This course is designed to demonstrate to participants the impact that our natural preferences have on the working relationships within teams. Through exercises and examples and discussion, participants will experience how type differences influence all aspects of team function from the early stages of team development, to the performance of a highly skilled work group. The course will then consider the factors found in highly effective teams and link these to the full spectrum of our natural preferences. Participants will analyze teams to determine potential strengths and blind spots. Tools will be introduced and used by participants to ensure all preferences are included and respected to optimize team performance. This is a highly practical and experiential program that focuses on the leadership requirements to nurture and support successful teams. The course provides participants with tools and strategies that can be employed with any workgroup.
This course is designed to demonstrate to participants the impact that our natural preferences have on our interaction in the workplace related to self-perception, group dynamics, leadership and organizational culture. Through exercises, case studies and discussion, participants will experience how type differences influence all aspects of our work life from establishing the norms and culture, to communication, leadership style and work applications. The journey however begins by knowing ourselves and reflecting on our personal growth and development. When we become more aware, we are better able to interact effectively with others and lead and inspire them to achieve their best. The process of encouraging self awareness and supporting type development will be considered through case studies. This is a highly practical and experiential program that focuses on applying our knowledge of type in the workplace. The course provides participants with tools and strategies that can be used to create and maintain a positive work environment and help tap the special gifts that each person brings to work with them every day. Our focus will be the constructive use of differences in multiple work applications from human resource management to the support of personal growth and awareness.
