Excited, enthused, interested, intrigued.

Interested

I was excited.  I think this is a great way for us to connect with people from all over Canada.

TC: Oh God… another (necessary but scary) learning curve.

For mailing, posting on websites and web newsletter: excited.

My first reaction to anything new is " Oh boy, new stuff, I'll try anything once" and if I don't like it I'll never try it again. But with technology, I groan and think to myself "OK, I'll try it once, but yikes, more time stuck in front of a screen when I could be interacting with books or people!!" I'm happy to try it out but I judge it quite harshly in terms of 1) is it fun and easy to learn 2) is it the most valuable use of my time. About 50% of the time I decide that the new format is just change for change's sake or that the new technology is not worth the time and energy to learn for my purposes. I've worked in cyberspace before on several projects but had never tried learning over the telephone (Otto's workshop) or the online newsletter.

Hey great!  Let’s go!  I don’t think I have much to offer though.

Very excited about the opportunity to explore new ways of working together using technology.

Could barely wait to begin.  I felt drawn into this like a magnet

-wondered who the other people were because I hadn’t met them in person

– wondered if I would be “techy” enough

"Oh my goodness!"  "This is a large ice box, this is a large ice box..."

Excited

I was anxious to get as many participants as possible from the Calgary area for the teleconference.  I was also concerned about my own lack of technological knowledge on how the teleconference would work.  I was quite pleased with how our Canada Region was coming together as a team through our conference calls and regular e-mails.
