Distance, and not having the
luxury of all being on-track at the same time. |
I
think the Extraverts would have liked to be able to afford more
teleconferences. As an
Introvert, I was comfortable communicating through the web site and email.
Also, I think it was hard to all "be there."
We would get updated and participate at our leisure, and this meant
some team members were more "on top" of things than others. |

Access to the extent of people and sites. |
The language issue to provide materials to reach and
link our Francophone colleagues has still not been resolved although baby
steps have been taken. Lack of resources to fund more events, activities
etc. |

The work put into the logistics of the newsletter –
ie setting up the account, researching a provider, getting sponsorship etc
was great and done by a few – some members are more knowledgeable about
such things than others – but some have also simply invested more time
in the group’s work than others (perhaps a simple function of people
working together and not exclusive to cyberspace groups) |
I found it frustrating because
I have so little computer skills and appreciated the patience that
others had with me. The great physical
distance – learning that is not face to face is not the only way to go. Personally I would like pictures of everyone to look
at when communicating. |
There were times when we didn’t think that the teleconference would go
ahead (not profitable or even meeting costs) and there were times that we
didn’t think we could afford to publish the Newsletter (too expensive).
Interestingly, I don’t think we would have done any better had we
been able to have face-to-face meetings. |
