I have gained a deeper knowledge of: -
my own type -
type in general (differences / similarities) Recognizing how
different types may walk different paths but arrive at the same
destination was a great type experience -
how to work more effectively with different types, while still
working together. |
Re:TC I
reaffirmed that I am comfortable with communicating in a manner which is
not face-to-face, and I get frustrated if it feels like all on the team
are not pulling equal weight. |

It is my preferred way of
working in a team. Perfect
mix of collaboration and independence. I
think of myself as quite a loner but being on list-serves and getting
regular information / requests from an ever-expanding community of people
who all share similar interests has shown me that I'm more sociable than I
thought. It is encouraging to know that so many people from a huge
geographic area would contribute so much energy to make it work. Who ever
thought that using technology could heart-warming?! |

My lack of familiarity with the territory is not the
obstacle that I sometimes feel it is |
I love working in cyberspace and the opportunities
that it offers to connect globally with barriers of time or distance. People express themselves differently “online”. |

That you can make a connection with people and goals
without being in the same place at the same time – the power of the word
on the screen is great – I was comfortable with the group because I was
comfortable with the leadership– I would be less trusting of joining a
group in which I did not know anyone |
Old dogs can learn new tricks. I have learned that I can experience new
communication methods and find them appropriate and beneficial. |
That it is possible to form a cohesive team without regular face-to-face
meetings. That I don’t need to be so guarded when faced with
“cyberspace" |
