Having the freedom, flexibility
to work on my own, creating something that was totally new. |
I liked the chance to "chat" on the web
site for a week before and after the teleconference. I liked the way we
encouraged people to meet in groups, and allowed for the individuals who
could not do so to participate as well. |

TC: time.
It took a long time before it actually came about, so I had time to
get used to the idea, think of what I expected out of the event etc. Other: Wonderful to be
able to interact in one’s own time limitations – morning, day, night
become inconsequential. As
an introvert, I like being able to communicate in writing (email) rather
than extemporaneous conversation. I
feel that I represent myself, and my thoughts, more accurately when I have
time to respond (and the chance to edit my replies / requests). I like
being able to read everyone else's ideas and being connected to people
with similar interests from Nova Scotia to British Columbia. The
overarching factor that makes this a positive experience is the enthusiasm
and confidence of the leader. I can follow anyone anywhere if their
interests fit with mine, and I trust in their competence and sense that
their enthusiasm is genuine. |

How much other people knew. Their confidence and support. |
The group was very receptive to trying new
approaches. Eager to be part
of this experiment. |

-was able to get a sense of the personalities of some of those involved – wondered sometimes if there was other related activity happening that I didn’t know about – simply because I struggled with believing that it could all happen in cyberspace –
didn’t somebody have to pick up the phone at least (?!)(teleconferences
aside) |
I liked being able to connect with people from other parts of Canada
and the US. Helped me feel like a team member. Enjoyed time with
Otto again. Enjoyed learning some new things. Chatting with Otto
Kroeger Hearing news from
others across the country Being in a small group in Calgary |
Leader’s enthusiasm and perseverance were motivating for me. Also, her
assurances that limited technological knowledge was not a limiting factor
worked especially well for me. I
found that I had more knowledge that I realized!
She demonstrated excellent leadership! |

Frustrations of not having a
greater level of technical knowledge. Felt it was too expensive for what I was going to get
from it. It also conflicted
with my group and I didn’t feel they could or would want to partake in
something that expensive. |
I was disappointed (and surprised) that we could only
be on the phone with Otto for 1 hour.
I think Otto was a great choice for our teleconference, and it
would have been even better if he was using the web site.

Not seeing anyone.
Would have preferred a chat event. I can't really point to any negative experience
although I have not really been part of the team…more a beneficiary of
the team's efforts. The
downside for me is always spending more time in front of the computer…
it's static and my body seems to always want to be in motion (underlying
Artisan Temperament?) I would
rather receive a version of the newsletter that is quickly printable
(don’t have to click on each story twice to print). I enjoy the tactile
experience of sitting in a comfy seat and reading.
I've taken courses on line and I print off the lectures and even
some of the conversation threads! |

My ignorance with technology made me feel limited in
terms of any contribution that I could make. |
My hope of having more bilingual involvement has not
yet materialized. Also we are drawing others to us but not as fast or
as many as I hoped would come, eg: new chapter members etc. Revenues to continue to operate have not yet
materialized. |

-feel that you lose some of the immediacy that you
get in person/on telephone but am impressed with the sheer connectedness
of it all |
During teleconference, when
presenter mixed up the questions. Found it somewhat frustrating when
others did not read the instructions and we had to take time to explain. Not getting as many
people involved as I had hoped Being on a learning curve for how the process worked. |
While we were able to gather 4 people to a site in
Calgary for the teleconference, my expectations were much greater.
This was a “negative”. I
put a great deal of effort into contacting and communicating with a long
list of type-users and APT members. I
was very disappointed at the response and remain in a quandary as to how
to attract type-users and APT members to events in the Calgary area |
Not everyone responded to all of the questions.

Achieving the goal made it positive, and along the
journey was the involvement, encouragement and support of others. (INFJs

The support and enthusiasm, especially when I had
